Each year, Musicians For Harmony selects an organization to benefit with our annual "Concert for Peace."  These are nonprofits and non-governmental organizations who are working toward global peace and security.  Past recipients have included:

Seeds of Peace is a nonprofit organization that works with teenagers from regions of conflict in several parts of the world. Founded in 1993, they are dedicated to empowering young leaders from regions of conflict with the leadership skills required to advance reconciliation and coexistence.

The Educational Workshop Program was launched by Musicians For Harmony using some of last year's concert proceeds. A series of workshops presented by Musique Sans Frontières will bring world music to school children both at home and abroad.

The Hawthorne Country Day School is a NYS approved not-for-profit school for children with disabilities. It serves approximately 170 children (18 months to 21 years old) with special needs, including autism/PDD, MR, Asperger's Syndrome, Prader-Willi Syndrome, and Multiple Disabilities.

The Gezundheit! Institute was founded in 1972 by Patch Adams, MD, as a creative response to the health care crisis in America: spiraling costs, dispirited care givers and patients.

Oxfam America has been working in Sudan and Chad for more than 20 years to provide adequate sanitation facilities and clean water and prevent the spread of disease.

The Iraqi National Symphony Orchestra is comprised solely of Iraqi musicians and performs works by both European and Iraqi composers. They have continued to rehearse, perform, and tour, through wars and the embargo.

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières delivers emergency aid to victims of armed conflict, epidemics, and natural and man-made disasters, and to others who lack health care due to social or geographical isolation.

Safe Horizon was founded in 1978 in New York City to provide support, prevent violence and promote justice for victims of crime and abuse, as well as for their families and communities.
